GOING “GLOCAL” – CBRE’S VIEW ON THIS INCREASING OCCUPIER TREND
The latest CBRE Global ViewPoint covers the issues faced by CRE departments across the world with views from our clients on the essential success factors, as well as the future impact of this increasing global trend.
‘Going "Glocal": The Globalization of Real Estate Management Structures’, was authored by Brent Evans, EMEA Client Solutions Director for Global Corporate Services (GCS), with key contributions from GCS colleagues worldwide. The report follows an extensive dissertation study by Brent in 2011, where he carried out a series of in-depth interviews with senior CRE decision makers for major global occupiers.
The findings of this study also headlined in CoreNet Leader magazine, a global publication that is distributed to occupiers worldwide. The article ‘A Recipe for Success: The Globalization of Real Estate Management Structures’ concludes that successful globalisation of the CRE function is inevitable as long as the right infrastructure, processes and people are in place.
The ViewPoint was distributed globally, via a GCS.alert, to all CBRE contacts in early April.
